We will be looking at the web site and how, as a club, we will run things.  Please read also the 2nd & 3rd items on handouts section as there you will find the details of how to do things.  Some of you (newer members) may not be able to do this because you do not have the software.  Don’t worry we can convert the images for you.

Ron will show you the basics of the web site operation and how we will upload the content to your own page.  Then we will discuss how we are going to achieve this.

The rest of the evening will be given over to the gallery pages for the web site.

There are two set of gallery pages one for prints and the other for slides.  One page is for the previous years images (that is the Sept 2010 to April 2011 season) and the other is for our very best images from years previous to that.

PLEASE BRING WITH YOU NEXT WEEK (13th Feb) IF POSSIBLE YOUR IMAGES (or on the 20th if not.)

(This will give me time to make preparations)

Bring season Sept 2010 to April 2011 images that have been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any competition and commended and highly commended images from the print/slide of the year.  You may also bring a few images which you think are your best, which were either not entered or you personally rate highly.

We will then select the best 25 to be entered on the gallery page.  Also it is hoped we can form a group which will make the selection for all future years.

In addition if you have had a image placed 1st in print or slide of the year in years previous from 2004 onwards you have automatic entry onto the page of merit as I have called this gallery.  Please bring with you any image you believe is suitable for placing on the gallery of merit because it was highly placed in any competition from any year.

PLEASE bring prints in JEPG format as detailed in the handouts section!  Slides scanned in and set to JEPG.

We also have to pick the 8 or 9 images that get placed on the front page of the site.
